Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Deliver admin mail and groceries daily. Must communicate between branches when delivering and provide daily updates to Manager.
2. Provide customer service to customers, by assisting customers, and providing information and product knowledge, which is maintained through being dependable for all scheduled shifts.
3. Process customer transactions on the point of sales system.
4. Provide packaging of customer purchases at the checkout counter, when necessary to ensure efficient service for the customer.
5. To provide a neat, clean and well merchandised front-end at all times.
6. To be familiar with and adhere to Pioneer Co-op policies and procedures.
7. To assist in general stock duties, including receiving and pricing of products and ensuring that all overstock in put away in warehouse in an organized and professional manner.
8. Responsible to clean van inside and out.
9. To achieve accurate cash balances and proper handling of all transactions including: credit cards, gift card/coupon procedures, and cheque cashing.
10. Adhere to company loss prevention, security and safety policies and procedures.
11. Other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS
Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, outgoing and energetic personality. Requires class 5 driver’s licence. Excellent customer service skills. Willingness to further knowledge through training. Physically able to do heavy lifting. May be needed for a variety of shifts, mainly morning shifts. Operate warehouse forklift, perform deliveries in the Grocery van, and ordering and receiving. This position is classified as Safety Sensitive. Therefore, is subject to Pioneer Co-op’s Alcohol and Substance policy as a condition of employment. Averages 15 – 23 hours/week.
