MECHANIC II HEAVY DUTY (PART-TIME)

RESPONSIBILITIES
o Perform automotive repair and service on all makes of vehicles/equipment including
the company’s fleet and forklifts.
o Ensure mechanical repairs and service are satisfactorily completed within scheduled
time requested, ensuring quality of workmanship
o Provide a level of customer service equal to established standards.
o Maintain the facilities and equipment as per established standards.
o Follow policy & procedure in security, fire prevention, safety & accidents.
o Attend and participate in training sessions and department meetings and keep self-up to date and knowledgeable in the heavy-duty mechanic trade.
o Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Preference for individual holding Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate, willing to train the right individual. Must hold a valid driver’s license. Must be able to work efficiently, independently and assume responsibility. Must portray a
pleasant and co-operative attitude and take pride in work. Lifting involves. Previous experience in the tire industry including agricultural tires considered an asset. Position classified as a Safety Sensitive position therefore it is subject to Pioneer Co-op’s Alcohol & Substance policy as a condition of employment. Averages 24 – 40 hours/week.
