GAS BAR MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To be responsible for the organization, co-ordination and direction of gas bar #2, #3, #4, #5, Maple Creek, and Shaunavon, and will be the active manager at gas bar #5. Will perform work within the limits of approved budgets, programs, policies and procedures.
2. To provide the customers with efficient and courteous service.
3. Maintain standards of employee dress through the uniform policy and program.
4. Maintain facility appearance including maintenance, housekeeping and merchandising.
5. Manage inventories in accordance with budget and policies.
6. Preparation of department budgets and to achieve budgeted goals.
7. Responsible for the management of the department's Human Resources such as recruitment procedures, staff training, enforcement of performance expectations and standards.
8. Will assist in developing a staff training plan and ensuring that it is followed. To assist with the adherence and enforcement of Pioneer Co-op policies and procedures and Union contract.
9. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience managing a successful service station. Ability to co-ordinate activities of others and delegate as required. Good public and member relations. Will be required to obtain TDG, WHMIS & Propane Certifications. This position is classified as Safety Sensitive and therefore is subject to Pioneer Co-op’s Alcohol & Substance policy as a condition of
employment.
