CLERK I PRODUCE (CASUAL)

RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Prepare, cull & stock products in a manner that is appealing to customers and as directed by department manager.
2) Assist with ordering, handling, receiving & merchandising, inventory control, mark-down
reports, claims to suppliers and follow up
3) Ensure proper care and maintenance of equipment and case temperatures
4) Adhere to the image checklist, merchandising standards, marketing efforts, value added program, housekeeping and loss prevention.
5) Adhere to sanitation and safe food handling practices.
6) Work in all areas of the department as needed, performing other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Requires a self-starter with good knowledge of the produce area, with high merchandising and customer service standards. Involves heavy lifting and long periods of standing. The successful candidate will have the ability to work efficiently with strong communication and interpersonal skills. This position is classified as Safety Sensitive. Therefore, is subject to
Pioneer Co-op’s Alcohol & Substance policy as a condition of employment.
