CLERK I (STUDENT) SHAUNAVON
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To provide outstanding customer service, by assisting customers, and providing information and product knowledge, which is maintained through being dependable for all shifts and handling of customer complaints in accordance with the Hassle-Free Guarantee policy in a professional manner, as per Pioneer Co-op policies and procedures.
2. To ensure proper meat preparation is achieved and maintained, such as traying, wrapping, value-added, and pricing to meat department standards.
3. To ensure that the fresh case, frozen case, smoked case and all spot and island merchandisers are filled and merchandised to Meat Department Standards.
4. To be responsible for unloading the truck, receiving, inspecting and storage of merchandise.
5. To perform cleaning duties and ensure sanitation standards are maintained.
6. To adhere to Safe Food Handling policies and procedures relating to the maintenance, sanitation and safety of all Pioneer Co-op assets.
7. Ensure proper temperature logs and best before dating is executed accurately.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Have a positive, professional approach and attitude.
2. A pleasant and out-going personality.
3. Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends.
4. Excellent customer service skills.
5. Willingness to further knowledge through training.
6. Physically able to do heavy lifting, climbing and kneeling.
7. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position: therefore, is subject to Pioneer Co-op’s Alcohol & Substance policy as a condition of employment.
